What we're about 

Eyeing the streets to find fresh new faces since 2002, Cover Models has become one of the foremost model scouting and placement agencies in Canada. Maintaining strong connections with top booking agencies and some of North America’s most prominent industry people—from photographers, to stylists, to make-up artists—the agency ensures maximum exposure for models in Canada and abroad.  

Our environment

CoverModels Management is strategically located in a modest fashion environment. Ottawa, like many other smaller cities, is home to a few “modeling schools” that offer expensive and unnecessary modeling classes to anyone willing to spend on them (whether they truly have potential to succeed as models or not). Opposing this prerogative, CoverModels Management does not believe in costly modeling courses. Models emerging from our agency do not spend on modeling classes and yet successfully work as models all over the world. 

The agency is a key link to other top agencies in the biggest fashion markets, and provides an opportunity for fresh faced hopefuls in the region to emerge onto the scene without immediately having to face the often intimidating larger metropolitan markets.

What we look for

 

Ultimately, CoverModels acts as a bridge to larger markets for those who would otherwise struggle to make themselves known in such a competitive industry. The agency focuses on scouting candidates that meet the specific prerequisites for fashion modeling, and will place these new faces in the hands of a reputable agent at no charge to the model. In doing so, CoverModels assumes the role of Mother Agency for the duration of a models career and will ensure that the model is always safe, comfortable and happy wherever the business may take them. The basic pre-requisites for models we look for are the following:

 

·         Females: 13-24 years old, 5'7" to 5'11".

·         Males: 16 plus, 5'11" to 6'2".

               

*Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian

 

The team is always truthful about each models’ prospects (even if the truth isn’t always what he or she prefers to hear) and limits itself only to fashion models. All other categories of modeling such as petite, plus size, parts, character or specialty do not fall under the agency’s portfolio.

Supporting you all the way

Our team is there for the model all throughout there journey as models. For many young people, the modeling business can be quite overwhelming, and its various aspects may be difficult to understand. The agency the model is placed and signed with normally represents a large board of models. Therefore, booking agents may not unfortunately have the time to provide personal support to each model or spend time carefully explaining how the business relates them. This is where the Mother Agency comes into play.

 Parents can rest assured that the we, as Mother Agent, not only concerns ourselves with finding the models work in their city and negotiating contracts in the best interest of the models wherever they may travel, but also providing constant one of one feedback and educating the model about the industry, the processes and about useful skills that will allow the model to persevere and excel.
